Job summary

Bespoke Careers is seeking a Project Architect for our Charlotte office to lead multi-disciplinary teams through design development and construction administration for higher education, civic, and mixed-use projects.

The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and proficient in Revit and BIM workflows, delivering accurate construction documentation and coordinating with consultants and clients.

Qualifications

• Professional degree in Architecture from a NAAB-accredited program.
• Architectural licensure or ability to become licensed within one year of hire.
• Minimum 7 years of professional experience within an architectural design firm.
• Experience with higher education, civic, institutional, housing, or mixed-use projects preferred.
• Advanced proficiency in Revit and BIM project delivery workflows.
• Strong understanding of construction documentation, detailing, building systems, and construction administration.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, Enscape, and presentation software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and coordination of construction documents and technical project deliverables.
• Collaborate with project managers and design leaders to advance projects from concept through construction.
• Utilize Revit and BIM workflows to develop accurate, coordinated project documentation.
• Coordinate project teams, consultants, and engineering disciplines throughout the design process.
• Delegate and oversee production tasks while maintaining project schedules and quality standards.
• Review drawings and details to ensure technical accuracy, constructability, and compliance with project requirements.
• Research and apply building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
• Participate in construction administration activities, including RFIs, submittals, site observations, and coordination with contractors.
• Anticipate and resolve design, technical, and construction-related challenges.
• Support client meetings, presentations, business development efforts, and project pursuits.
• Maintain organized project records and documentation in accordance with firm standards.
