Job summary

Form 4 Architecture in San Francisco seeks a Project Architect for Commercial Construction to lead projects from schematic design through construction administration. This permanent, full-time role centers on collaboration, technical excellence, and delivering bold, sustainable environments.

The ideal candidate has at least seven years in commercial architecture, strong Revit skills, and experience with core-and-shell exteriors, curtain walls, and coordinated documents.

Qualifications

• Minimum of seven years of professional architecture experience in commercial construction.
• Excellent technical architecture skills.
• Exterior construction experience: core and shell, framing, roofing, water proofing, etc.
• Experience with curtain walls, water intrusion, reflection, vibration, wind movement, and metal framing, cladding and roofing.
• Experience putting together cohesive architectural work plans.
• Experience working on complex architectural projects.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects from the schematic design stage through construction administration.
• Plan and conduct work in all phases of a project, including preliminary design work.
• Coordinate construction documents.
• Participate in client meetings and proposal development.
• Coordinate specifications produced by various consultants.
• Promote technologies and methodologies to improve technical quality of projects.
• Mentor less experienced architects; assist in their career development.
