Guidon Design in Indianapolis seeks a Senior Project Architect to lead design and documentation from concept through construction. You will ensure high-quality, well-coordinated construction documents while engaging in problem-solving and client interactions.

Qualifications

• Master’s or bachelor’s degree in the relevant discipline.
• Professional licensure or certification/registration.
• 10+ years’ experience.
• LEED accreditation or willingness to obtain it is ideal.

Responsibilities

• Develop conceptual designs for new construction and renovation projects.
• Collaborate with project managers throughout the design process.
• Direct and mentor project architects, engineers, and designers.
• Represent the firm in client meetings and design review sessions.
• Lead the production of construction documents and detailed design drawings.
• Conduct on-site construction administration and inspections to ensure quality execution.
• Facilitate coordination within a multidisciplinary project team to achieve design excellence.

Job Purpose

The Senior Project Architect is responsible for leading the design and documentation of projects from concept through construction. This role ensures the delivery of high-quality, well‑coordinated construction documents while actively engaging in problem-solving, client interactions, and team leadership. The Senior Project Architect collaborates with project managers and multidisciplinary teams to develop innovative, functional, and sustainable design solutions that meet client needs and exceed expectations.

Qualifications

• Master’s or bachelor’s degree in discipline from accredited institution.
• Professional Licensure or certification/registration within discipline.
• 10+ years’ experience.
• LEED accreditation or a willingness to obtain it is ideal.
