Job summary

Terracon in Topeka, KS is seeking an experienced archaeologist to provide fieldwork, artifact identification, lab analysis, and report writing across a broad range of projects. You will supervise field crews, support safety and quality, and assist with proposals and MOAs as needed.

The ideal candidate holds a graduate degree in archaeology or anthropology with at least five years of related experience, is SOI qualified, and has a valid driver’s license. Some travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree in archaeology or anthropology with a minimum of 5 years’ related experience.
• Intimately familiar with the cultural history of the region.
• SOI qualification.
• A valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide archaeological services including fieldwork, artifact identification, laboratory analysis, and reporting.
• Lead field crew and ensure high standards of fieldwork.
• Prepare proposals and MOA documents; present papers at conferences.
