Job summary

CFS in Houston, TX is seeking a Senior Project Accountant to manage full-cycle accounting for multiple real estate development projects from start to finish. You’ll track costs, analyze variances, review monthly financials, and partner with project managers on forecasting and cash flow in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications include 5+ years in real estate development or construction, a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field, and advanced Excel skills.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of accounting in real estate development or construction.
• Strong job costing / project accounting knowledge.
• WIP / percentage-of-completion (POC) experience preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.

Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle accounting for multiple real estate development projects
• Track and analyze project costs, budgets, and variances
• Prepare and review monthly financials for active developments
• Maintain and monitor job cost reporting and project-level forecasting
• Partner with project managers to ensure accurate financial tracking and reporting
• Support draw requests, funding, and cash flow management
• Assist with month-end close, journal entries, and reconciliations
• Work cross-functionally with internal teams and external partners (developers, lenders, etc.)
