Job summary

Phoenix Oversight Group, LLC is seeking a Senior Accountant (Projects) to manage advanced accounting for both commercial and federal contracts. The role emphasizes project-based accounting, invoicing, and reconciliations, collaborating with the Controller and cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial records.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of related experience, strong GAAP knowledge, and proficiency with ERP systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in project-based accounting.
• Strong GAAP and internal control knowledge.
• Advanced Excel and MS Office skills.
• Experience with ERP systems (QBO Online, Deltek Costpoint, Unanet).
• Familiarity with FAR, CAS, and DCAA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Administer and update all commercial and federal contracts in Unanet GovCon ERP.
• Prepare and submit monthly project invoices to customers (commercial and government).
• Post customer payments daily and maintain invoicing records.
• Support month-end and year-end close, journals, and reconciliations.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis.
• Coordinate with internal teams and auditors during audits.
