Job summary

LS Power is seeking a Senior Project Accountant in New Jersey to join its Generation Development Accounting team. You will manage end-to-end project accounting for generation development projects, ensuring accurate coding, budgeting, and reporting across the project lifecycle.

The role emphasizes close collaboration with project management, AP, treasury, and tax teams, leveraging D365 and AI-powered tools to streamline reporting and surface insights for executive decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting; CPA is a plus.
• Minimum four years of accounting experience, with capital project exposure.
• Experience with project accounting in a multi-entity environment.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP as applied to capital projects.
• Ability to use AI tools for reporting and insights.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end project accounting for active generation development projects.
• Maintain project cost structures in D365 for real‑time reflections of WOs, POs, and commitments.
• Coordinate with AP, procurement, and project teams on accurate coding and cost capture.
• Review invoices against budgets and manage change orders and retainage balances.
• Prepare monthly cash forecasts and investor reporting packages.
• Support month-end close and ensure accurate CWIP and asset transfers.
