About The Position
Responsible for leading the market strategies and bid‑to‑operations lifecycle for Fire and Life Safety Operations, and other similar support programs. The role oversees the development and implementation of these service offerings, ensuring a comprehensive growth strategy that aligns with the company’s vision, policies, objectives, and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Lead and support growth and business sustainment strategies and act as primary point of contact for Fire and Life Safety Operations, from grant writing and funding support to installation, operations, maintenance, and monitoring.
- Evaluate industry and business trends, analyze performance, and recommend necessary business changes.
- Partner with business development teams to optimize go‑to‑market strategy and support proposal development and client‑facing materials.
- Drive new and expanded business opportunities through prospecting, networking, relationship building, and selling additional services to the current client base.
- Direct coordination and governance of sales activities throughout the sales process, including qualifications, discovery, proposals, pricing presentations, and negotiations.
- Establish strong relationships with industry experts, and participate in introductory meetings, proposal and capability pitches, and contract negotiations.
- Build and maintain strategic and effective relationships with program managers, clients, project teams, specialty contractors, vendors, suppliers, user groups, and others to support the company’s core values and exceed customer expectations.
- Provide technical advice, mentoring, training, and assistance to team members and co‑workers as needed.
- Make decisions safely and attentively to ensure the health and safety of self and others.
- Apply LEAN concepts or other continuous improvement methodologies to ensure efficient operations.
- Promote the company’s mission, vision, and values, champion diversity, equity, and inclusion, and provide high‑quality services and programs to all stakeholders.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in fire protection engineering, FSET, business administration, service management, or a related field. Advanced degree and/or PMP certification preferred.
- 5–7 years of experience in program/project management and partnering with marketing and/or sales functions.
- Deep understanding of the Fire and Life Safety industry, clientele, and government incentive programs, with proven confidentiality practices.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, Excel, Word, Outlook, SharePoint, SalesForce, PowerBI, and other business intelligence or financial systems.
- Expert quantitative skills to solve advanced problems and evaluate complex options.
- Extensive training, skills, and knowledge in program/project management and the project life cycle.
- Exceptional written, verbal, listening, and persuasion skills with strong customer focus and teamwork.
- Superior analytical mindset, attention to detail, and ability to develop strategic solutions and process improvements.
- Ability to motivate and collaborate with senior technical leaders, business leaders, subject matter experts, executive management, and client groups.
- Excellent independent organizational, prioritizing, and time‑management skills.
- Superior leadership abilities, including managing, mentoring, and developing team members and maintaining integrity and dependability.
Salary Range
- $98,000 – $127,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
