Job summary

The University of Alabama seeks an experienced Programmer Analyst III to design, develop, and support moderate- to high-complexity software and hardware systems for university administration. You will work on enterprise applications, build processes, and web applications, and create integrations for vendor systems.

Qualifications

• Master's degree and two (2) years of IT programming experience; OR bachelor's degree and four (4) years of IT programming experience; OR associate's degree and six (6) years of IT experience to include four (4) years of IT programming.
• High level of programming knowledge with languages such as C#, .NET, PHP, Oracle PL/SQL, or Java; strong web development concepts including HTML, XML, JSON, Javascript, and MVC.

Responsibilities

• Designs, develops, supports, and codes moderate- to high-complexity software and hardware systems for University administration.
• Develops processes and web applications; creates workflows; integrates vendor-supplied software.
• Works on a team and collaborates with departments across campus; troubleshoots and resolves issues.
• Mentors and trains lower-level team members and serves as technical lead on low-to-moderate complexity projects.
