Job summary

The Humboldt Area Foundation and Wild Rivers Community Foundation seek a Senior Program Officer to lead grantmaking, program development, and community initiatives across Humboldt, Trinity, Del Norte, and Curry counties.

You will work with the Strategy, Program, & Community Solutions team to deploy resources, engage partners, monitor results, and advance four strategic goals focused on racial equity, youth, environment, and a just economy.

Qualifications

• Grantmaking and resource deployment within a 4-county region.
• Development and ongoing management of initiatives, programs and projects.
• Community engagement and collaboration with partners.
• Communication across teams and stakeholders.
• Evaluation and learning to measure impact and inform strategy.

Responsibilities

• As Senior Program Officer, you will oversee grantmaking, program development, and community initiatives.
• You will surface community needs, provide analysis, and deploy resources accordingly.
• You will collaborate with staff, partners, and tribal communities to advance goals.
• Monitor progress, report findings, and adapt strategies to changing needs.
• Support and participate in learning and evaluation activities across programs.
