Job Summary
Senior Program Manager supports the planning and delivery of complex projects and programs in the water and wastewater industry across the Northeast. The role leads assignments and daily operations to ensure program goals, benefits, and continuous improvement are achieved.
Responsibilities
- Lead assignments and activities on complex projects and programs.
- Utilize comprehensive understanding of the company's program management services to offer optimal solutions to clients.
- Leverage program management lifecycle phases: planning, initiation, delivery, and closeout.
- Manage program governance and stakeholder management activities.
- Operate independently through effective planning, resource coordination, timeline management, and quality standard compliance.
- Support performance and benefits realization, monitor progress, and adjust as needed to maximize outcomes.
- Implement sales techniques for successful negotiation and transaction.
- Adapt and execute additional assignments as evolving needs arise.
Mentorship
- May provide mentorship, guidance, and knowledge sharing to less experienced team members.
Skills & Competencies
- Work effectively in cross-functional teams and communicate with program stakeholders.
- Accomplished in project management and capable of leading large project assignments on time and on budget.
- Proven skills in program delivery lifecycle management phases, processes, and activities.
- Deep understanding of the industry and its clients.
- Skilled in program controls, commercial acumen, performance monitoring, and reporting.
- Well-versed in program planning and initiation, change management, risk management, and quality management.
Experience
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in project, program management or related field.
- Experience delivering moderately complex to complex projects.
Preferred Experience
- Experience with Water and Wastewater programs.
- Familiarity with Progressive Design Build, Construction Manager at Risk, and Design-Bid-Build delivery methods.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction, business management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Program-management certification required or to be obtained within 12 months.
Salary Range
Starting pay ranges by location:
- Location A: $129,000 - $177,000
- Location B: $142,000 - $195,000
- Location C: $155,000 - $213,000
