Qualifications

• Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across teams.
• Experience in Cold Forging, Flowforming and Machining preferred
• Bachelor’s or degree in Engineering or a related field
• Minimum 10 years of experience in program or project management preferably in an engineering-focused environment to include deep understanding of engineering principles and methodologies
• Solid understanding of project management tools and methodologies
• PMP or other relevant certifications are a plus
• Previous high-volume manufacturing / automotive experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning and execution of engineering projects, defining project scope, objectives, timelines, and resource requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize project management processes, increase efficiency, and enhance team performance.
• Manage the design process, manufacturing process and documentation throughout a project lifecycle.
• Work closely with engineering teams, product managers, and other stakeholders to define project requirements, prioritize tasks, and resolve issues.
• Identify and mitigate project risks by proactively identifying potential issues, developing contingency plans, and implementing risk mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
• Present project status and key insights to senior management with regular updates and metrics.
• Oversee quality assurance processes to ensure engineering deliverables meet quality standards and comply with regulatory requirements.

The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with exceptional leadership skills and a strong technical background in engineering.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Project Planning and Execution: Lead the planning and execution of engineering projects, including defining project scope, objectives, timelines, and resource requirements.
• Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize project management processes, increase efficiency, and enhance team performance.
• Engineering Change Management: Manage the design process, manufacturing process and documentation throughout a project lifecycle.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering teams, product managers, and other stakeholders to define project requirements, prioritize tasks, and resolve issues that may arise during the project lifecycle.
• Risk Management: Identify and mitigate project risks by proactively identifying potential issues, developing contingency plans, and implementing risk mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
• Communication and Reporting: Facilitate effective communication among team members and stakeholders by providing regular project updates, status reports, and performance metrics. Present project status and key insights to senior management as needed.
• Quality Assurance: Oversee quality assurance processes to ensure that engineering deliverables meet quality standards and comply with regulatory requirements.
• All other duties as assigned.
