Senior Program Manager – Legacy Modernization

Chicago, IL or Houston, TX (Hybrid)

Must be onsite Day 1 (relocation OK)

6 months | Visa: Open (no restrictions)

Senior Program Manager with deep experience running enterprise-scale transformation programs, specifically legacy-to-modern and mainframe modernization initiatives. This is a delivery‑heavy role, not PMO reporting only.

Must-Have Experience

• 10+ years leading large enterprise technology programs
• Direct ownership of legacy-to-modern or mainframe modernization initiatives
• Hands‑on exposure to mainframe environments; COBOL migration is a strong plus
• Experience operating in ambiguity (requirements not locked upfront)
• Proven executive communication and facilitation skills
• Led or supported programs in the $100M+ range or equivalent scale

Nice to Have

• Prior experience in regulated or highly complex enterprise environments
• Multi‑vendor or SI‑led program experience
• Strong financial governance and dependency management skills
