The Senior Program Manager – Technology Transformation & Portfolio Governance is accountable for orchestrating large-scale enterprise transformation initiatives by integrating independently owned strategies into a single, coherent portfolio roadmap. This role ensures that cloud adoption and infrastructure transformation efforts are governed, sequenced, funded, and risk‑managed as an enterprise program rather than a collection of disconnected technical initiatives.

The role operates at the intersection of strategy, execution, and governance. It partners closely with product owners, platform leaders, infrastructure teams, finance, and executive stakeholders to challenge assumptions, validate feasibility, and translate intent into executable plans. Success is measured by clarity of direction, predictability of outcomes, and leadership confidence—not by technical delivery.

This position is best suited for a leader who brings structure to complexity, creates alignment across competing priorities, and ensures transformation commitments are realistic, transparent, and achievable.

Key Responsibilities
Enterprise Transformation Leadership
  • Lead the coordination of enterprise‑wide transformation initiatives, including cloud adoption and infrastructure modernization, across multiple portfolios and delivery teams
  • Establish a single, integrated transformation roadmap that aligns business priorities, delivery sequencing, and investment decisions
  • Provide the governance framework required to move from strategy to execution at scale, ensuring consistent decision‑making and accountability
  • Serve as a stabilizing force in complex, multi‑year transformation efforts with evolving scope and constraints
  • Integrate product- and platform‑owned roadmaps into a portfolio‑level view of scope, timelines, dependencies, and outcomes
  • Define and maintain governance structures, forums, and operating cadence to support cross‑portfolio alignment
  • Ensure decisions, assumptions, trade‑offs, and changes are documented, traceable, and communicated consistently
  • Enable leadership to manage transformation as a portfolio of investments rather than isolated initiatives
  • Act as a constructive challenger to product and platform strategies, testing readiness, sequencing, and delivery realism
  • Translate expressed technical strategies into clear execution plans, including timelines, resourcing needs, and financial implications
  • Surface gaps, overlaps, and misalignments across plans and drive resolution through facilitation and influence
  • Ensure that transformation ambition is grounded in organizational capacity, funding constraints, and risk tolerance
  • Proactively identify and manage cross‑initiative risks and dependencies that cannot be addressed within individual teams
  • Maintain an integrated view of delivery risk, including schedule pressure, organizational readiness, and external constraints
  • Partner with finance and leadership to support cost modeling, forecasting, and investment trade‑off discussions
  • Provide early warning and decision support when plans diverge from expectations
Executive Engagement & Communication
  • Deliver executive‑ready artifacts such as portfolio roadmaps, dashboards, summaries, and decision papers
  • Enable senior leaders to make informed decisions by presenting complex situations in clear, concise, outcome‑focused terms
  • Act as a central point of coordination between delivery organizations and executive stakeholders
  • Ensure consistent narrative and shared understanding across leadership forums
Required Skills & Capabilities
Transformation & Organizational Leadership
  • Proven experience leading large, complex transformation initiatives in highly matrixed organizations
  • Strong ability to influence without authority and align stakeholders with competing priorities
  • Skilled facilitator capable of driving clarity, accountability, and momentum in ambiguous environments
  • Ability to operate seamlessly at both tactical and executive altitudes
Governance & Program Discipline
  • Deep experience establishing and operating portfolio governance models
  • Strong grasp of roadmap integration, dependency management, and execution tracking
  • Ability to balance strategic intent with delivery reality
Technical Fluency (Contextual, Not Delivery)
  • Sufficient technical understanding to challenge, interpret, and validate cloud and infrastructure strategies
  • Ability to understand implications of technical decisions without acting as an architect or engineer
  • Comfortable translating technical plans into business‑relevant constructs
Executive Communication
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to produce concise, decision‑oriented materials for senior leadership
  • Confident presence when engaging VP‑and SVP‑level stakeholders
Ideal Experience
  • Senior Program Manager, Transformation Lead, or Portfolio Governance Lead
  • Experience overseeing enterprise technology transformations or modernization programs
  • Direct exposure to executive‑level decision‑making and investment governance
  • Consulting, transformation office, or SOW‑based delivery experience strongly preferred
