Job description

Mammoth Freighters is a fast-growing aerospace innovator, who is redefining the future of widebody air cargo. We design, develop, and convert Boeing 777 passenger aircraft into some of the most productive, fuel efficient long range freighters in the world.

If you’re passionate about aviation, thrive in a dynamic, mission-driven environment, and want to contribute to solutions that matter to global logistics and commerce, Mammoth Freighters is where your career can take flight.

Job Overview

We are hiring an experienced Senior Widebody Freighters Conversion Program Manager to help with the planning, execution, and delivery of a freighter conversion program from contract through entry into service. You will be part of a program management team that is accountable for holding together engineering, certification, supply chain, conversion operations, and — above all — the customer relationship, supporting a technically intricate program on schedule, on budget, and on spec.

This is a role for someone who has done it before: who knows what it takes to help drive a Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) program to the finish line, who understands where cross-organizational programs break down, and who can assist in keeping a high-level customer confident and well-served while managing real-world technical and schedule risk.

This position reports to the Senior Vice President of Program Management.

Job Responsibilities
  • Aid in the overall program performance — scope, schedule, budget, risk, and quality — across the full conversion lifecycle from design and certification through induction, modification, and entry into service.
  • Serve with a group who interfaces to the customer, building trust through close collaboration, clear communication, and a genuine commitment to meeting their requirements.
  • Help coordinate across internal and external organizations — engineering and design organizations (ODA/DOA), certification, supply chain, conversion sites/MROs, and quality — aligning competing priorities into a single integrated plan.
  • Support the certification effort in partnership with the certification team, tracking deliverables, conformity, and authority interactions (FAA and validating authorities such as EASA, UK CAA, and others) to keep approvals on the critical path.
  • Assist in building and maintaining the integrated master schedule; identify critical-path risks early and lead mitigation across functions.
  • Help manage program financials, including budgets, forecasts, and change management and then report this to leadership.
  • Promote a disciplined risk and issue management process and driving items to closure.
  • Facilitate program reviews and status reporting for internal leadership and external stakeholders, translating technical detail into decisions.
Job Qualifications
  • 8+ years of program or project management experience in aerospace, with direct experience in freighter conversions, aircraft modifications, or aircraft certification programs.
  • Demonstrated success managing complex, cross-organizational programs with multiple internal functions, external suppliers/partners, and regulatory authorities.
  • A strong track record of partnering with high-level customers through technically and commercially complex programs — keeping the relationship strong and responsive while holding commitments firm.
  • Working knowledge of the STC process and interaction with airworthiness authorities (FAA experience required; international validation experience a strong plus).
  • Excellent integrated scheduling, financial management, and risk management skills.
  • Outstanding communication and stakeholder management — able to move fluidly between shop-floor technical detail and executive-level decision-making.
  • Comfort operating in ambiguity and driving clarity in a fast-moving, growing program environment.
  • Experience with and willingness to travel.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Hands‑on experience with widebody aircraft (e.g., 777, 767, A330) conversion or heavy modification programs.
  • Familiarity with conversion engineering deliverables — AFM supplements, ICA, conformity/RFC processes, weight and balance, EWIS, ETOPS.
  • Engineering or technical degree, or equivalent technical depth gained through experience.
  • Experience managing programs from entry into service with cargo operators or airlines.
