Qualifications

  • 8+ years of Technical Program Management, Program Management, or related experience.
  • Proven experience leading portfolio-level initiatives within retail, planning, supply chain, merchandising, or inventory technology domains.

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end delivery outcomes across programs spanning Merch Planning, Forecasting, Sizing, Allocation, and Inventory Optimization.
  • Drive strategic initiatives supporting in-season reforecasting, allocation optimization, transfer optimization.
  • Ensure execution aligns with GTM milestones, buy cycles, and merchandising decision timelines.
  • Serve as a trusted partner to Merch Planning and Allocation stakeholders, translating business requirements into scalable technology solutions.
  • Lead cross-system decision frameworks and ensure end-to-end planning processes.
  • Own release governance, readiness reviews, and deployment planning across planning platforms.
  • Design scalable delivery operating models and mentor TPMs/PMs.
  • Influence prioritization with senior leaders across Merch Planning, Allocation, Product Management, Data & Analytics.

Role - Sr. Program Manager

Role Summary:

We are seeking a Sr. Program Manager to lead complex, cross-portfolio technology initiatives within Global Product Technology, with a primary focus on Merch Planning, Forecasting, Sizing, Allocation, and Inventory Optimization capabilities.

This role operates at the intersection of business and technology, driving delivery across multiple interdependent programs and products. The PM will own end-to-end program outcomes, shape technical and business decisions, and ensure planning and allocation capabilities deliver measurable business value.

Success in this role requires a strong understanding of retail planning lifecycles, inventory flow, forecasting methodologies, and allocation strategies, combined with the ability to orchestrate large-scale technology delivery across cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own end-to-end delivery outcomes across programs spanning Merch Planning, Forecasting, Sizing, Allocation, and Inventory Optimization.
  • Drive strategic initiatives supporting:
  • In-season reforecasting
  • Allocation optimization
  • Transfer optimization
  • Ensure execution aligns with GTM milestones, buy cycles, and merchandising decision timelines.
2. Merch Planning & Allocation Domain Leadership (Critical)
  • Serve as a trusted partner to Merch Planning and Allocation stakeholders, translating business requirements into scalable technology solutions.
  • Deeply understand and incorporate:
  • Pre-season planning (assortment planning, size curves, buy quantities)
  • In-season planning and reforecasting
  • Inventory rebalancing and transfer strategies
  • Allocation strategies across distribution centers and stores
  • Inventory optimization vs. service levels
  • Automation vs. planner control
  • Drive technology solutions that improve:
  • Forecast accuracy
  • Inventory productivity
3. Technical & Strategic Leadership
  • Drive cross-system decision-making across architecture, integrations, data flows, and implementation sequencing.
  • Lead structured decision frameworks, including options analysis, trade-offs, risks, and recommendations.
  • Ensure solutions support end-to-end planning processes rather than isolated system enhancements.
  • Act as a bridge between Business, Product, Data, and Engineering teams.
4. Release Governance & Delivery Management
  • Own release governance, readiness reviews, and deployment planning across planning and allocation platforms.
  • Ensure releases align with critical business events, including GTM milestones, buy periods, and peak seasonal windows.

5. Delivery Excellence & Operating Model Design
  • Design and scale delivery operating models across planning technology teams.
  • Outcome-based backlog readiness

6. Cross-Functional Orchestration & Dependency Management
  • Serve as the single-threaded owner connecting Merch Planning, Allocation, Product, Data, and Engineering teams.
  • Forecasting platforms
  • Sizing solutions
  • Allocation systems
  • Inventory optimization capabilities
  • Proactively identify and mitigate risks related to data quality, model outputs, and downstream business impacts.
7. Operational Excellence & Incident Leadership
  • Lead response and recovery efforts for issues impacting planning and allocation outcomes.
  • Drive root cause analysis with both technical and business stakeholders.
  • Continuously improve:
  • SLA compliance
  • Data reliability
  • System stability
  • Business confidence in planning outputs
8. Executive Influence & Stakeholder Management
  • Deliver executive-ready communications that connect technology outcomes to business metrics.
  • Influence prioritization based on customer and business value.
  • Partner closely with senior leaders across:
  • Merch Planning
  • Allocation
  • Product Management
  • Data & Analytics
9. Scalable Mechanisms & Organizational Impact
  • Build scalable governance and operational mechanisms, including:
  • Allocation readiness checklists
  • Enable clarity, accountability, and alignment across teams.
  • Mentor TPMs and PMs on linking execution outcomes to merchandising and inventory performance.
Required Qualifications
  • 8+ years of Technical Program Management, Program Management, or related experience.
  • Proven experience leading portfolio-level initiatives within retail, planning, supply chain, merchandising, or inventory technology domains.
  • Strong understanding of:
  • Merch Planning and Allocation processes
  • Forecasting and Inventory Optimization concepts
  • Data-driven product and technology delivery
  • Cross-functional stakeholder management
  • Demonstrated ability to influence technical and business decisions at senior leadership levels.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Anaplan or enterprise planning platforms.
  • Experience with allocation engines and inventory optimization solutions.
  • Exposure to AI/ML-based forecasting, recommendation, or optimization models.
  • Experience with Snowflake and modern data platforms.
  • Background in retail, apparel, fashion, or omnichannel inventory environments.
Education
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s of engineering, or related fields.
