Cotality is seeking an experienced engineer to drive AI‑first engineering across the mortgage technology platform. You will design, develop, and test complex enterprise systems using .NET technologies and champion the integration of Agentic AI, MCP, and approved AI tools into the SDLC to modernize the platform.
You will lead AI‑native transformation initiatives, own platform engineering across UI and API integrations, and help build scalable, secure services in a GCP environment.

You will drive the design, development, and testing of complex enterprise systems and applications using modern .NET technologies for our mortgage technology platform. In this role, you will champion our transition to AI‑first engineering practices by actively integrating Agentic AI, Model Context Protocol (MCP), and approved AI tools into the software development life cycle (SDLC) to drive operational efficiencies and platform modernization.
AI‑Native Transformation & Agentic Workflows: execute AI‑native transformation initiatives, MCP server capabilities, and leverage tools like BMAD and Spec Kit to build modern lender self‑service capabilities.
Platform & Cloud Engineering: Build, maintain, and take hands‑on ownership of internal services, rate management engines, and GCP‑based CI/CD pipelines across both UI‑based and API‑driven lender integrations.
Own Enablement Lifecycles: Author and maintain architectural definitions, AGENTS.md specifications, and skill architectures to ensure teams have the foundations to work effectively with AI tools.
Engineering Excellence & Technical Leadership: Embrace a leadership trajectory with the opportunity to become a Dev Anchor (Tech Lead) guiding, mentoring, and elevating the team's output. Pair program using Test‑Driven Development (TDD), collaborate cross‑functionally with QA, product, and client stakeholders, and take end‑to‑end ownership of workstreams. Collaborate across full‑stack boundaries to provide technical direction on ASP.NET Core Web API designs, database schemas, and microservices architecture. Operate across the entire platform lifecycle from requirements and cloud architecture through build, test, deployment, and platform‑wide production incident diagnosis.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical work experience).
Nice‑to‑Haves / Preferred: Direct experience with the Model Context Protocol (MCP) and building or integrating custom Agentic AI servers within a .NET environment. Direct experience in Mortgage Technology, Closing Cost/Loan Estimation systems, or Real Estate fintech platforms.
