Job summary

Atlas Evaluation & Inspection Services (AEIS) LLC is seeking a licensed Professional Engineer to lead QA/QC on DOT and heavy civil projects in the NY/NJ metro area. You will develop project-specific Quality Plans, supervise field inspection and testing, and ensure compliance with NYSDOT, NYCDOT, NJDOT, and related agencies.

You’ll coordinate with client reps, construction managers, and AEIS engineers, represent AEIS in meetings, and mentor QA/QC staff across disciplines.

Qualifications

• Active NY/NJ PE license (mandatory).
• 7–10 years in construction QA/QC for DOT or agency projects.
• Direct experience with NYSDOT/NYCDOT/NJDOT, NYS Thruway Authority, or equivalent agencies.
• 30-Hour OSHA Construction Safety Training (mandatory).
• Strong technical writing, communication, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement Quality Plans per DOT and agency-specific protocols.
• Monitor site QA/QC activities including inspection, materials testing, and corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with NYSDOT, NYCDOT, NJDOT, NYS Thruway Authority, and similar agency specifications.
• Prepare inspection reports, progress logs, audit checklists, and quality documentation.
• Lead quality audits and agency-facing documentation reviews.
• Supervise QA/QC staff across field inspection and testing disciplines.
• Coordinate with client reps, construction managers, and AEIS engineers.
• Represent AEIS in progress meetings and quality briefings.
