Placements24 is seeking a Senior Production Supervisor for a reputable food and beverage producer based in East London, Eastern Cape. You will oversee daily production, ensure HACCP and GMP compliance, manage staff, and drive continuous improvement to meet targets and quality standards.

The role requires a strong background in food manufacturing, leadership skills, and the ability to coordinate with maintenance and quality teams to sustain safe, efficient operations and a proactive safety

Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead production teams to achieve daily, weekly, and monthly production targets.
• Ensure all production activities comply with food safety standards (e.g., HACCP, GMP) and company quality policies.
• Monitor production processes, identify deviations, and implement corrective actions to maintain product quality and consistency.
• Manage the scheduling and allocation of staff, ensuring adequate coverage for all shifts.
• Oversee the operation of production machinery and equipment, coordinating with maintenance for timely repairs and preventive maintenance.
• Train and develop production staff, providing guidance on best practices, safety procedures, and operational standards.
• Maintain accurate production records, including output, waste, and adherence to schedules.
• Promote a strong safety culture on the production floor and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Collaborate with Quality Assurance, Warehouse, and Logistics to ensure seamless operations.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and minimize waste.

• Proven leadership and team management skills.
