Job summary

Overview

A major manufacturer of large, highly engineered products with a strong backlog and long-term production demand is seeking an experienced production leader. Its central Iowa operation is one of two major manufacturing facilities supporting this division, creating a highly visible opportunity in an operation that matters. This is hands‑on manufacturing leadership in a large-scale environment involving welding, fabrication, assembly and industrial finishing.

What you'll do

• Lead people and production across a large-scale manufacturing environment involving welding, fabrication, assembly and industrial finishing
• Own responsibility for safety, quality, schedule and productivity
• Develop and grow the people on your team
• Spend time on the production floor working with frontline leaders and employees
• Solve problems and remove obstacles to keep production moving safely and effectively
• Work within a multiple-shift operation, including occasional overtime and weekend coverage

Required qualifications

• Progressive experience taking on greater responsibility in manufacturing
• Demonstrated ability to get results through people, not simply manage a schedule
• Experience in welding, fabrication, assembly, heavy manufacturing or similarly complex operations
• Comfort working in a demanding, high-volume manufacturing environment with multiple shifts, occasional overtime and weekend coverage
• Background as a Production Supervisor, Manufacturing Supervisor, Weld/Fabrication Supervisor or similar frontline leader

Preferred qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred, though demonstrated manufacturing leadership matters more
