Job summary

Vitesse Systems, LLC. is seeking a Senior Production Planner III to lead advanced production planning and scheduling.

You’ll collaborate across operations, supply chain, engineering, and finance to balance demand with capacity, optimize inventory, and support NPIs and S&OP processes. You must excel in data-driven decision-making, ERP/MRP systems (Epicor E10), and driving continuous improvement while mentoring junior planners.

Qualifications

APICS-CPIM modules completed or in progress.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
Strong knowledge of purchasing and planning principles and procedures.
Experience with ERP/MRP systems; Epicor a plus.

Responsibilities

Develop, maintain, and execute the Master Production Schedule (MPS) to meet demand and OT delivery.
Translate forecasts and orders into detailed production/work orders.
Balance demand and supply considering capacity, labor, tooling, and material constraints.
Monitor schedule adherence and adjust plans for changes.
Prioritize and release work orders aligned with business objectives.
Lead planning for new product launches from development to ramp-up.
Ensure material readiness and schedule alignment for NPIs with cross-functional partners.
Validate BOMs, routings, lead times, and planning parameters before production.
Develop ramp-up plans and transition strategies from prototype to full-rate production.
Identify supply chain risks during NPI and implement mitigations.
Support first article builds, pilot runs, and milestone schedules.
Ensure ERP/MRP data integrity and proper system setup for programs.
Perform capacity planning and load analysis for efficient utilization.
Identify bottlenecks and drive corrective actions.
Coordinate with leadership to align schedules with resources.
Collaborate with procurement to ensure material availability and resolve shortages.
Analyze inventory levels and optimize turns to prevent stockouts.
Review MRP outputs and validate planning parameters.
Work with operations, engineering, quality, finance, sales, and program management to support commitments.
Participate in S&OP and demand planning meetings.
Communicate risks, impacts, and mitigations to stakeholders.
Track KPIs like OTIF, schedule attainment, inventory turns, and forecast accuracy.
