Job summary

TTM Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Production Planner to plan and coordinate production activities and material flow to meet schedules. You will set up manufacturing flow paths, expedite operations, and implement engineering changes to keep on-time delivery.

You will maintain WIP records, prepare daily progress reports, and collaborate with department supervisors to prioritize projects and ensure compliant, documented processes across the shop floor.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, 2 or 4 year degree preferred.
• At least 7 years of experience in manufacturing or inventory control or a combination of education and experience.
• Knowledge of MRP Systems and manufacturing processes.
• Working knowledge of electro-mechanical assembly processes.
• Knowledge of PC’s and software.
• Ability to interact with varying levels of management, co-workers and customers as needed.

Responsibilities

• Plans and coordinates production activities and material flow to ensure production schedules are met.
• Maintains and updates production schedules by recording work completed and status of work in process.
• Reports delays in assembly or availability of materials to management.
• Assists in compiling reports, expediting orders through purchasing, receiving, receiving inspection and manufacturing.
• Prepares daily reports on the status of assemblies in process or delivery of materials.
• Coordinates with department supervisors to determine status of assigned projects.
• Interfaces with other departments to ensure smooth flow of required materials.
• Reviews Work-In-Process (WIP) inventory records and ensures they are transacted correctly.
• Chairs team meetings and assists in training and coaching lower-level planners.
