Job summary

Rocket Lab is seeking a Senior Production Planner I to manage production work orders and material planning. Based onsite at our Long Beach, CA headquarters, you will partner with Engineering, Quality, Production, Supply Chain, and Finance to balance schedules, lead times, and yield while ensuring clear build priorities.

The role requires 5+ years in production planning with a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, strong MS Office/ERP proficiency, and eligibility for a security clearance.

  • U.S citizenship is required, due to program requirements
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance

SENIOR PRODUCTION PLANNER I

Basedonsiteat Rocket Lab’s headquarters in Long Beach, CA,Production Plannersare responsible forwork order management at Rocket Lab. Production Planners interact with Engineering, Quality, Production, Supply Chain, and Finance, to ensure they are planning and managing the production schedule, production lead times, yield management, and engineering build timelines. Production Planners ensure that the Production team has work in their queue, the correct priority, and are clear to build without blockers.

WHAT YOU'LL GET TO DO:

YOU'LL BRING THESE QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 5+ years of experience & a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of work experience (9+ years total work experience).

THESE QUALIFICATIONS WOULD BE NICE TO HAVE:
  • Prior experience in aerospace, EV automotive, or other disruptive manufacturing industries.
  • Prior experience in rapid growth environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Experience with AS9100, US export controls.
  • Prior experience in rapid growth environment.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize effectively and efficiently.
  • Experience with SQL, Python or R.

This position may require prolonged periods of sitting, standing, walking, computer work, and occasional exposure to moderate levels of noise, dust, and fumes in production areas.

Level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.

Base Pay Range (CA Only)

$95,000 - $118,000 USD
