CesiumAstro, Inc. is seeking a Senior Production Planner to develop and optimize production plans that align with capacity, materials, and customer demand.

You will coordinate schedules, evaluate trends, and resolve planning challenges to support manufacturing objectives and commitments. In this role you will collaborate with supply chain, operations, engineering, quality, program management, and finance to ensure production plans align with capacity and priorities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 5–8 years in production planning, manufacturing planning, or supply chain.
• Strong knowledge of production planning, scheduling, and manufacturing operations.
• Experience evaluating BOMs, routings, lead times, and capacity requirements.
• Proficiency with ERP systems and production planning software.
• Experience with BI/reporting tools like Power BI or Tableau.

We are looking to add a Senior Production Planner to join our team. In this position, you will support manufacturing operations by developing production plans, coordinating production schedules, and optimizing planning activities that align manufacturing capacity, material availability, and customer demand. This role contributes to operational performance by evaluating production trends, resolving planning challenges, and coordinating production planning activities that support manufacturing objectives and customer commitments.

Working cross-functionally with supply chain, operations, manufacturing, engineering, quality, program management, and finance, this role supports production planning, scheduling, material availability, and manufacturing operations while ensuring production plans align with manufacturing capacity, inventory objectives, and business priorities.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead development and maintenance of production plans that support manufacturing schedules, customer commitments, and operational objectives.
• Evaluate production demand, material availability, manufacturing capacity, inventory levels, and operational priorities to develop optimized production schedules.
• Identify planning constraints, evaluate production risks, and recommend planning solutions that improve schedule stability and operational efficiency.
• Maintain production planning data, planning parameters, and scheduling information within ERP and production planning systems to support accurate planning and reporting.
• Develop production reports, schedule updates, capacity analyses, operational metrics, production forecasts, and planning dashboards that support business decisions.
• Evaluate production performance, manufacturing constraints, and planning trends to identify opportunities that improve operational efficiency and schedule adherence.
• Support production planning reviews by presenting schedule analyses, production status updates, operational metrics, and planning recommendations to stakeholders.
• Partner cross-functionally with supply chain, operations, manufacturing, engineering, quality, program management, and finance to align production priorities with operational objectives.
• Communicate production schedule changes, material constraints, manufacturing impacts, planning risks, and recovery strategies to appropriate stakeholders.
• Coordinate planning activities that align production schedules, material availability, manufacturing resources, and customer commitments.
• Drive implementation of production planning process improvements and operational initiatives that improve manufacturing performance and planning effectiveness.
• Support compliance with production planning processes, inventory policies, scheduling standards, and operational procedures.
• Evaluate planning methodologies and recommend improvements that strengthen production planning accuracy and operational performance.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of production planning processes, manufacturing operations, and overall operational effectiveness.

JOB REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, or a related field with 5–8 years of related experience, or a Master's degree with 3–6 years of related experience in production planning, manufacturing planning, supply chain, operations, manufacturing, or a related discipline.
• Strong knowledge of production planning, production scheduling, manufacturing operations, and supply chain planning principles.
• In-depth understanding of production planning methodologies, manufacturing workflows, capacity requirements, and material availability.
• Proficiency in evaluating work orders, production schedules, bills of materials (BOMs), routings, lead times, and manufacturing resource requirements.
• Experience analyzing production schedules, work order status, material availability, work center capacity, and schedule dependencies to identify constraints and planning risks.
• Thorough understanding of capacity planning, work center loading, schedule sequencing, inventory availability, and production priorities affecting manufacturing execution.
• Sound judgment in evaluating schedule adherence, backlog, work-in-process (WIP), throughput, capacity constraints, and production requirements to support schedule execution.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
• Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, e.g. Oracle, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite, or equivalent applications.
• Production planning and scheduling systems, e.g. Advanced Planning and Scheduling (APS), Oracle Planning, SAP PP, or equivalent applications.
• Business intelligence and reporting tools, e.g. Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent applications.

$121,000 - $143,000 a year
