Job summary

Avient Corporation is seeking a skilled manufacturing technician for our Albion, MI plant. The role focuses on set up and operation of blending or extrusion machinery to produce high-quality customer products, while meeting cost targets and delivery requirements.

Starting pay ranges from $24.00 to $30.00+ per hour, with shift differentials and full benefits. Shifts include first and second, plus a Sunday-Thursday third option.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years experience in Manufacturing or related field (Plastics experience is highly desired).
• 8-10+ years experience in Manufacturing or related field is highly desired.
• Minimum 1-2 years experience training others.
• Highly adaptable and diverse experience with machinery and manufacturing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates and meets qualifications on all Blending or Extrusion operational areas.
• Demonstrates leadership and team work in all phases of the operation.
• Sets up and starts all machines, checking all controls for adherence to mixing/blending or extruding procedures.
• Weighs ingredients to meet recipe specification and inserts into machinery; or ensures correct ingredients are delivered to the work area.
