Job summary

SP Industries Inc. in Vineland, NJ seeks a Production Manager to lead multiple manufacturing areas for high-quality laboratory glassware.

You will report to the Plant Manager and drive safety, delivery, and continuous improvement across PB, NMR, and LabGlass lines. The role requires 7–10+ years in manufacturing with 5+ years in leadership, Lean/Six Sigma experience, and a Bachelor's in engineering or related field.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, Manufacturing, or related field.
• 7–10+ years of manufacturing experience; 5+ in leadership.
• Experience in scientific glassware or tight-tolerance production preferred.
• Lean, Six Sigma training or certification.
• Strong data analysis and KPI management.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership to Production Supervisors and Leads across all manufacturing operations.
• Drive safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost through leadership of multiple production teams.
• Coach and develop Supervisors and Leads; build organizational capability through succession planning.
• Translate business objectives into clear operational plans.
• Own production performance across all departments including OTD, throughput, yield, and labor efficiency.
• Establish and track KPIs; drive data-driven reviews.
• Ensure standardized work and quality systems across production areas.
• Identify constraints and lead cross-functional teams to improve throughput and reduce bottlenecks.
• Develop workforce plans; ensure staffing and cross-training.
• Partner with Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, Planning, Supply Chain, HR, and Customer Service.
• Lead root-cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Champion Lean, Six Sigma, and 5S efforts to improve safety and efficiency.
• Oversee safety, environmental, quality, and regulatory compliance.
• Balance schedules with labor, capacity, and customer priorities.
• Support new product introductions and capital projects.
