Job summary

Hubbell Incorporated is seeking a Senior Production Manager to lead the manufacturing environment and meet production, quality, and cost goals. You will direct supervisors, optimize resources, and drive continuous improvement across multiple functions.

The role requires 10–15 years of relevant experience and strong leadership, with preferred exposure to LEAN and SAP. You will collaborate with Materials, Quality, Engineering and Finance to deliver results and uphold safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
  • 10–15 years of relevant experience is required.
  • 10 years of leadership experience preferred.
  • Experience with SAP and LEAN manufacturing is preferred.
  • Ability to read component drawings, manufacturing routers, and BOMs.

Responsibilities

  • Directs the manufacturing environment to meet production, quality, and cost objectives.
  • Provide technical assistance and troubleshooting support across departments.
  • Approve timecards weekly for hourly and salaried employees.
  • Maintain relationships under the collective bargaining agreement.
  • Lead manufacturing improvements and cost-reduction initiatives.
  • Analyze production data and compile performance reports.

Job Overview

The Senior Production Manager directs the manufacturing environment in order to meet production, quality, and cost objectives. This role determines requirements for equipment, materials, and manpower resources. This individual usually directs other first-line supervisors in reporting and scheduling activities.

A Day In The Life

Every day at Hubbell is different and you'll contribute in many ways. On any given day, you'll make a difference by:

  • Setting and maintaining priorities, vision, and leadership.
  • Providing technical assistance & trouble shooting support to Materials, Quality, Engineering, Finance, Maintenance, Field Service, Shipping, and the Distribution Center.
  • Recommending raw material or component part substitutions and alternative methods of manufacturing.
  • Ensuring that cross training and continuing education is maintained for key salary and hourly personnel.
  • Identifying and initiating manufacturing improvements.Supporting engineering with cost reduction initiatives.
  • Providing manufacturing information by compiling, initiating, sorting, and analyzing production performance records and data; answering questions and responding to requests.
  • Approving timecards on a weekly basis for hourly and salaried employees.
  • Maintaining working relationships with the union by following the terms of the collective bargaining agreement.
  • Assisting Human Resources in resolving personnel problems by analyzing data; investigating issues; identifying solutions; recommending action.
