Job summary

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems in San Diego, CA is seeking a Production Controller 3 to support material scheduling and the flow of components for industrial and commercial products on a 9/80 schedule, on-site.

You will track inventory, coordinate with Material Planning, and collaborate with shop floor supervisors to optimize WIP while expediting parts through SAP/S4HANA and EWI systems. This role requires strong problem solving and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with relevant experience.
• Experience using SAP/S4HANA and EWI (Solumina) to track parts through production.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
• Experience in material expediting and coordinating with planning teams.

Responsibilities

• Track inventory levels and monitor WIP, On-Hold, MRB, and In-Inspection locations.
• Coordinate with Material Planning to ensure timely material orders.
• Partner with shop floor supervisors to optimize WIP flow.
• Release work orders and process material through SAP/S4HANA & EWI.
• Dispose scrap material and support problem solving for material flow.
