Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Production Control Planner III in North Alabama to lead and manage production control operations across multiple integration projects. You will optimize capacity, materials, and schedules, while ensuring ERP data accuracy and delivering performance metrics.

You will mentor junior planners and drive improvements in planning processes, KPI reporting, and cross-functional collaboration with PM, Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, or related field; 4+ years experience or equivalent.
• Experience in production planning, materials coordination, or manufacturing operations with increasing responsibility.
• Strong knowledge of ERP/MRP systems (Deltek Costpoint preferred).
• Advanced experience interpreting and executing MRP action messages in an ERP system.
• Proven ability to work across functions and influence outcomes in a matrixed environment.
• Must be a US Citizen and able to obtain/maintain Secret clearance.
• Must be a resident of Huntsville / North Alabama area.

Responsibilities

• Lead production planning across multiple integration projects, balancing capacity, materials, and schedule requirements.
• Monitor and control work order execution; resolve shortages, engineering changes, and priority conflicts.
• Interpret, prioritize, and execute MRP action messages to adjust procurement, rescheduling, and work order release decisions.
• Provide production control expertise in cross-functional meetings with PM, Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain.
• Ensure ERP data accuracy (Deltek Costpoint preferred) for all programs, including WIP and inventory management.
• Generate reports, dashboards, and status updates for leadership and stakeholders.
• Mentor Production Control Planner I/II team members; provide training and knowledge sharing.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives for planning processes, KPIs, and reporting tools.
• Ensure compliance with AS9100 standards and government regulations.
