Job summary

Bio-Rad Laboratories is seeking a Production Chemist III in Irvine, CA. The role focuses on bulk formulation of diagnostic reagents, leading GMP-compliant processes, and mentoring a production team to meet stringent quality standards.

Responsibilities include planning manufacturing activities, maintaining GDP/GMP documentation, driving continuous improvement, and collaborating with R&D for product transfers and new recipes.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in manufacturing settings formulating products in biological or life sciences
• GMP manufacturing experience preferred
• Lead Chemist experience preferred
• Experience leading teams or projects
• Experience with ERP systems SAP a plus
• Knowledge of GMP/Laboratory Practices and Excel/Word

Responsibilities

• Formulate diagnostic reagents and manage custom recipes and intermediates
• Lead/train team on manufacturing of mid-to-high complexity products
• Plan, schedule, and organize product teams to meet deadlines
• Maintain quality records per GDP/GMP standards
• Monitor processes and adjust to meet yields
• Lead root cause analyses and implement corrective actions
• Contribute to data entry and inventory control in ERP
• Support product transfer and R&D collaboration
• Lead continuous improvement via Lean Six Sigma
