Job summary

Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. in San Diego is seeking a Hardware Engineer to join the Engineering Group, Hardware Engineering.

You will validate and debug new silicon, support ATE HW/SW development, and help characterize device performance across process and operating conditions. The role requires a Bachelor's in Computer or Electrical Engineering with 3+ years of silicon bring-up or HW Eng experience; a Master’s or PhD is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering and/or Electrical Engineering or related field
• Experience working with common test equipment (oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, logic analyzers, network analyzers)
• 3+ years’ Experience with silicon bring-up and high-volume manufacturing, Hardware Engineering experience or related work experience
• Preferred: Master’s degree in computer engineering and/or Electrical Engineering or related field
• Minimum: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field and 2+ years of Hardware Engineering or related work experience OR Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field and 1+ year of Hardware Engineering or related work experience OR PhD in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Validation and debug of new silicon
• ATE HW/SW development
• Characterization of device performance over process and operating conditions
• Cross functional engineering collaboration to develop test methodologies for advanced packaging technologies
• Releasing cost effective production test solutions into mass production
