Job summary

Disney Entertainment & ESPN Technology seeks a Senior Product Software Engineer to build and maintain our next generation Content Management Systems for ABC News, National Geographic, Marvel, and more. You will work with modern web tech like JavaScript, Node, React, GraphQL, and MongoDB to deliver scalable features and robust site architecture.

You will collaborate with design, product, and project management while mentoring junior engineers and ensuring code quality across teams.

Basic Qualifications:

• Proven understanding of programming and software development practices
• Comprehensive knowledge of modern web technologies (JavaScript, React, CSS3, GraphQL)
• Demonstrated ability to research solutions to complex problems
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail
• Driven and self-motivated
• 5+ years relevant industry experience
• BS Computer Science or related technical discipline or its equivalent

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience programming with a best of breed UI stack: React/React Native, Redux, TypeScript, CSS3/SCSS, Jest, React Testing Library, Selenium/Nightwatch/Cypress, SauceLabs, WebPack, Babel, Node/Express, OAuth 2.0/JWT
• Full stack experience preferred

The hiring range for this position in California is $141,900.00 to $190,300.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
