PayPal, Inc. is hiring a Senior Product Security Engineer in Austin to design, build, and operate automated security scanners and guardrails across the software development lifecycle.

You will partner with engineering, platform, and security teams to reduce risk in source code, dependencies, and AI/LLM tools, enabling secure delivery at scale. You will evolve security automation to meet engineers where they build, improving detection quality and remediation speed while supporting rapid delivery

Formación

• 3+ years of relevant security engineering experience with a degree, or an equivalent mix of education and work.
• Experience with SBOMs, provenance, artifact signing or verification, and dependency governance.
• Familiarity with AI/LLM tooling security and secure software development practices.

Responsabilidades

• Build and operate scanning and guardrail capabilities across code, CI/CD, and package ecosystems.
• Tune SAST, SCA, and supply chain controls; improve remediation guidance and reduce false positives.
• Collaborate with developers and security teams to implement practical security controls for AI/LLM tooling.
