Job summary

Scale AI, Inc. is seeking a highly technical Security Engineer to join our Product Security team. You will conduct in-depth code reviews, implement security best practices, and influence the overall security strategy.

You will work with TypeScript, Python, AWS, CI/CD, SAST, DAST, and Terraform orchestration to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities, structure complex problems, and explain their impact. This role requires autonomous problem solving and strong communication to guide engineering

Qualifications

• Ability to drive multi-month security initiatives independently.
• Proven experience as a Security Engineer focused on product security.
• Proficiency in modern JavaScript/NodeJS design and cloud infrastructure.
• Experience securing AWS at scale and using SAST/DAST tooling.
• Familiarity with Terraform orchestration for infrastructure management.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain security tooling across the AI/ML software stack.
• Conduct in-depth code reviews to remediate vulnerabilities.
• Evaluate and enhance security through RFCs and service reviews.
• Implement and secure CI/CD pipelines.
• Perform SAST/DAST to identify production vulnerabilities.
• Guide engineering teams toward robust secure solutions.
• Explain vulnerability mechanics and impact to stakeholders.
• Influence security strategy and drive continuous improvement.
