Job summary

Blue Shield of CA is seeking a Product Security Engineer to design, build, and operate security as code across the software and platform lifecycle, embedding security into CI/CD, cloud, data, and infrastructure.

You will leverage AI to scale security engineering, detection, and response, contribute to AI-enabled systems, and help create secure-by-default outcomes while collaborating with the Product Security team and Senior Director.

Qualifications

• Requires college degree or equivalent experience.
• Requires a minimum of at least 10 years of relevant experience.
• 8+ years in DevSecOps, Security Engineering, or Software Engineering preferred.
• Strong experience building security capabilities into CI/CD pipelines.
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform.
• Proficiency in Python, Go, or TypeScript.
• Deep understanding of application security, cloud security, and distributed systems.
