Job summary

Air Techniques, located at our New York headquarters, seeks a dedicated quality inspector to evaluate production and customer-returned products. You will perform dimensional and visual inspections, interpret drawings, and support continuous improvement with rigorous data-driven analyses.

Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree in manufacturing engineering or related field and at least five years in quality or manufacturing inspection, with ISO 9001/13485 knowledge and strong analytical

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of experience in a quality, manufacturing, or product inspection role.
Prior experience in root cause analysis methodologies strongly preferred.
Familiarity with ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 quality standards.

Responsibilities

Interpret drawings, GD&T, BOMs, schematics, material specs, and acceptance criteria.
Perform visual, dimensional, and functional inspections on production and customer-returned units.
Use precision tools to obtain accurate measurements and verify conformance.
Identify recurring issues and escalate to Product Quality Manager.
Collaborate with Engineering, Production, and Procurement to implement corrective actions.
Assist in developing or revising repair procedures and work instructions.
Participate in Lean or continuous improvement initiatives to reduce defects.
