Job summary

Blue Cross NC is seeking a Senior Product Owner to manage the team and sprint backlog, prioritize work aligned to the customer roadmap, and deliver value across complex, high-impact, and/or multiple products with minimal oversight.

The role emphasizes collaboration with stakeholders to define user stories, decompose features into deliverable items, and mentor staff, with flexible Hybrid Flex work arrangements and a strong benefits package including health coverage and retirement plans.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in a related field.
• In lieu of degree, 7+ years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage team and sprint backlog and prioritize work to align with customer roadmaps.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define user stories and maintain the backlog.
• Decompose features into stories to enable team delivery.
• Map product vision to user stories using stakeholder input.
• Act as liaison between business and delivery teams to set expectations.
• Develop knowledge of the assigned product area and maintain domain expertise.
• Mentor and coach other staff on Product Owner practices.
