TalentOla is seeking aSenior Product Owner for Finance Data & ERP Modernization in Cary, NC. You will own the Finance data backlog across Data Hub and Workday interfaces, translating requirements into epics and acceptance criteria for the data engineering team.

You will lead governance, data quality, and reporting definitions, ensuring reconciled, trusted data for analytics and statutory reporting. Collaboration with CFO stakeholders and engineers is essential in this multi‑phase transformation.

Qualifications

8+ years in ERP Finance, Finance Systems, finance data, business analysis, functional consulting, or product ownership on a major workstream.
Strong functional knowledge of Finance modules in at least one ERP platform: Workday, PeopleSoft, SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics.
Solid command of GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, financial close, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
Demonstrated experience on ERP implementation, modernization, migration, or finance transformation programs.
Proven ability to elicit requirements and produce user stories, acceptance criteria, process and data documentation, and UAT scenarios.
Comfort operating with Finance stakeholders and with data engineers on mappings, transformations, and defects.
Experience in Agile delivery using Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar backlog-management tools.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, facilitation, and problem-solving skills; able to drive decisions in ambiguity.
Ability to work a hybrid schedule from Cary, NC.

Responsibilities

Own, groom, and prioritize the Finance backlog for data, integrations, and reporting across the Data Hub and Workday interfaces.
Translate Finance requirements into epics, user stories, business rules, and acceptance criteria for the data engineering team.
Maintain a clear, sequenced roadmap tied to close cycles, cutover milestones, and downstream dependencies.
Lead backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and demos; document scope and trade-offs.
Provide financial domain leadership across GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, and reporting.
Partner with Controllership, FP&A, Treasury, Procurement, and Finance Systems stakeholders to understand processes and data needs.
Support mapping of PeopleSoft Finance data to Workday and the Data Hub, including COA, worktags, and hierarchy redesign decisions.
Challenge legacy customizations and manual spreadsheet workarounds.
Define data-quality rules, reconciliation requirements, and reporting validation criteria.
Collaborate with engineers to shape certified finance data products for analytics, regulatory, and statutory reporting.
Establish data definitions and governance so Finance can trust hub data.
