Job summary

Toast is building a new team to support labour management in markets outside the United States and expanding in Canada, UK, Ireland, and Australia. We are seeking a Senior Product Manager to own this strategy and drive features that help restaurants attract and retain employees.

You will collaborate with engineering, business development, operations, and marketing to deliver scalable capabilities across markets.

Qualifications

• 5+ years shipping complex software products with ownership of a major product portfolio in the employer management or payroll space.
• Proven track record taking a product from discovery through prototype and pilot to scale.
• Exemplary stakeholder management and ability to align external partners and internal stakeholders.
• Communication & influence: able to synthesize technical tradeoffs and business value for executives and partners.
• Bachelor's degree required.

Toast creates technology to help restaurants and local businesses succeed in a digital world, helping business owners operate, increase sales, engage customers, and keep employees happy.

Outside the US, we currently operate in Canada, UK, Ireland, and Australia and are actively growing our product platform in these markets. Specifically we are investing in a new team to support our customers in improving labour management. This is a key customer request and includes earned wage access, tip/gratuity management, and payroll tools.

We are seeking a senior product manager to own this strategy and enable our customers to attract and retain employees in their restaurants. You will work closely with engineering, business development, operations, and marketing partners to deliver innovative, reliable, and scalable capabilities that help our customers with the most important but also complex part of their business. In this highly visible role, you will have a direct impact on how Toast serves customers in new markets

A day in the life (Responsibilities)

• Champion field research & validation: Spend time with customers in all markets to learn opportunities to improve the experience both as a restaurant employee and as a restaurant managing labour. Form a perspective on build versus partner.
• Define, prioritize, and deliver a roadmap initiatives that improve the value proposition of Toast by supporting critical labour operational workflows
• Align Engineering, Security, Data, Research, Design, Care/Onboarding, and GTM partners to de-risk delivery and adoption of new features in the employee management space.
• Define and track key metrics and KPIs to measure ROI of roadmap initiatives and prioritize projects across markets.
• Define pricing, packaging, and go-to-market strategy with Product Marketing, Sales, and Operations; identify commercial models that fit restaurants of different sizes.

What you'll need to thrive (Requirements)

• ~5+ years shipping complex software products with demonstrated ownership of a major product portfolio in the employer management or payroll space
• Proven track record taking a product from discovery through prototype and pilot to scale.
• Exemplary stakeholder management and ability to align external partners and internal stakeholders, especially on high-visibility initiatives.
• Communication & influence. Clear, persuasive written and verbal communication; able to synthesize technical tradeoffs and business value for executives and partners.
• At least a Bachelor's degree required.
