Join a team of brilliant, passionate innovators determined to transform healthcare. At BillionToOne, we've built a category-defining, publicly traded company on Nasdaq where transparency fuels trust, collaboration drives breakthroughs, and every contribution moves the needle on our mission to make life-changing diagnostics accessible to all. We don't just aim for incremental improvements; we build products that are 10x better than anything that exists today.

Our scientists, engineers, sales executives, and visionaries are united by an unwavering commitment to changing the standard of care in prenatal and cancer diagnostics. This is where cutting-edge science meets human compassion, and every innovation you contribute helps remove the fear of the unknown from some of life's most critical medical moments.

If you're driven by purpose, energized by innovation, and ready to help shape the future of precision medicine at scale, this is where you belong.

We are looking for a Senior Product Manager, Oncology to lead and manage our therapy selection product family, Northstar Select. This role will be working closely with R&D, clinical, engineering, sales, marketing, and company leadership to lead new assay development as well as existing assay enhancements. The ideal candidate has experience launching molecular diagnostic testing assays (including FDA-approved assays), is obsessed with delivering a delightful customer experience, and thrives in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment. This role is an hybrid (onsite 3 days/week) position and reports directly to the Head of Product, Oncology.

Responsibilities:

  • Understand the market and design a winning product concept: As the product owner, you need to be Number 1 expert within the company about the user needs and desires, the market, and how our technology assets can solve their problems.
  • Plan and execute product launch: Understand and plan for every element that touches the product launch, including the core clinical assay, the user-facing software apps, the internal workflow, regulatory and legal constraints, and requirements, and support teams focused on marketing and PR activities, etc. Work with a wide range of departments to execute on the product launch.
  • End-to-end user experience: Our product is not just the genetic testing panel but the entire experience of ordering a test, sending the blood sample, and receiving the result. You are responsible for designing and delivering the most seamless and delightful user experience for the entire process, together with a UX designer and other stakeholders.
  • Program management: You are responsible for getting the product to the finish line by mobilizing relevant internal and external resources. This can involve many elements of general project and program management tasks such as driving timelines, getting stakeholders to agree on a solution, sourcing external vendors, etc.
  • Continuous iterations and improvements: As the product owner, you are the biggest advocate for the users. You are responsible for monitoring the users' voice and behaviors, the key metrics, and key market trends for the product-line and identify areas of improvement.

Qualifications:

  • 5-10 years of experience in product management (title & compensation commensurate with experience)
  • Experience driving product vision, go-to-market strategy, and product requirements
  • Experience with launching a product from start to finish
  • Experience working with diverse teams to gather requirements and rally them to get a complex product launched
  • Experience with IVD product management
  • Experience with launching and managing NGS-based diagnostic testing assays is a strong plus
  • Experience with launching and managing clinical genetic testing products is a huge plus

Nice-To-Haves:

  • Oncology Experience a plus
  • Another advanced degree (Masters/PhD) in molecular biology, bioengineering, medicine, chemical biology, or a related field is strongly preferred
  • Working alongside brilliant, kind, passionate and dedicated colleagues, in an empowering environment, toward a global vision, striving for a future in which transformative molecular diagnostics can help millions of patients
  • Open, transparent culture that includes weekly Town Hall meetings
  • The ability to indirectly or directly change the lives of hundreds of thousands patients
  • Multiple medical benefit options; employee premiums paid 100% of select plans, dependents covered up to 80%
