Job summary

Palo Alto Networks is seeking a Senior Product Manager for Layer 2 Switching to define and drive the evolution of our enterprise switching capabilities. You will own the product experience across the full switch lifecycle—from onboarding and provisioning through configuration, operations, observability, troubleshooting, and ongoing management.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in product management or related technical role.
• 3+ years in networking, switching infrastructure, or related platform products.
• Strong knowledge of Layer 2 networking fundamentals (VLANs, 802.1Q trunking, STP variants, LACP, LLDP).
• Experience with enterprise switching architectures and network operations.
• Experience defining infra configuration via CLI, REST APIs, YANG-based APIs, or graphical interfaces.
• Experience translating customer pain points into prioritized product requirements.

Responsibilities

• Define product strategy, roadmap, and lifecycle for Layer 2 switching capabilities.
• Own requirements across onboarding, provisioning, configuration, monitoring, troubleshooting, and decommissioning.
• Define Zero-Touch Provisioning, cloud-managed enrollment, and guided setup workflows.
• Define configuration workflows for CLI, APIs, and GUI for core Layer 2 capabilities.
• Collaborate with UX/design, engineering, and marketing teams to improve usability and adoption.
• Monitor KPIs and use data to guide roadmap priorities and product improvements.
• Work with customers and partners to translate market needs into clear product requirements.
