That is magic at work, and it's what we show up for every day.

We are looking to hire a Sr. Product Manager I to join our Product Organization. You will be accountable for driving business impacting investments within areas of high ambiguity, driving strategy that aligns with customer demands, business goals, and industry trends. Join us and help our customers leverage the potential of their workforce and mobilize their talent. In this role you will focus on the Admin and Billing experience, the capabilities enterprise IT teams, administrators, and billing owners rely on to manage users, licenses, access, governance, and their commercial relationship with Smartsheet.

You will report to our Director, Product Management located in our Boston, MA office. You may work remotely from anywhere in the US where Smartsheet is a registered employer.

You Will
  • Define a vision and strategy informed by company objectives, a deep understanding of customer needs, and industry best practices
  • Partner with and influence technical and product leaders across Smartsheet to align strategy and platform investments
  • Deeply understand how customers buy, provision, and manage their subscriptions, including plan and license entitlements, self-serve purchase and upgrade flows, renewals, invoicing, and usage visibility
  • Work closely with Product Marketing, Sales, and Pricing and Packaging teams to position our Admin and Billing capabilities to IT and finance stakeholders, creating a strong go-to-market strategy
  • Evaluate where AI can meaningfully improve the customer experience in new and existing features, making deliberate calls about how to apply it, how to earn administrator trust, and how to handle accuracy, transparency, and user control in workflows where precision matters
  • Use AI tools to augment your own work (research synthesis, prototyping, analysis, and documentation) and identify opportunities to automate manual processes across the product development lifecycle
  • Regularly present strategy, product concepts and roadmap to educate, influence and align with senior leadership
  • Partner closely with research, design and engineering to create compelling, high-quality customer experiences
  • Use internal and external data to guide experimentation, decisions, opportunities and evaluation of success
  • Partner with research, product design, data science and analytics teams to run quantitative experiments and analysis to test hypotheses and iteratively develop product capabilities that our customers love
  • Communicate strategy, product health, capabilities, experimentation status, and insights to a wide audience
  • Write succinct and compelling product strategy, execution and requirements documents
  • Successful candidates will operate at both the strategic and tactical levels and form strong cross-team partnerships that ensure combined success for the product area
  • Support other duties as needed
You Have
  • 5+ years of product management experience
  • Experience partnering closely with engineering, design, user research and marketing teams. Successfully delivered a delightful user experience with high-scale platforms
  • Passion to make customers and colleagues successful and pride in creating delightful customer experiences with high-scale platforms
  • Data-driven mentality with a focus on metrics, analytics and experimentation

  • Experience delivering highly-complex consumer or B2B/enterprise software products from inception to launch
  • Experience with agile development processes and frequent product releases
  • Comfort using AI tools to augment your day-to-day work, and a bias toward automating manual and repetitive processes

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High interpersonal skills to build trusted and strategic cross-team partnerships rooted in customer benefit
  • Technical degree, or equivalent experience working with engineers to make product decisions on behalf of customers
  • Employer subsidized medical/vision and dental coverage for full-time employees
