Job summary

Apple Inc. is seeking a Senior Product Manager to lead databases for Apple Cloud, owning the vision and roadmap for NoSQL and streaming data services.

You will translate data and AI infrastructure into clear product abstractions (APIs, workflows) and drive GenAI-enabled features for database use cases. You will collaborate with engineering to ensure scalability, reliability, privacy, and security, while engaging internal customers to tailor solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field (Master’s degree preferred).
• 10+ years of product management experience building enterprise or platform products.
• Strong experience working with streaming data systems like Apache Kafka and Apache Flink, Search platforms like Solr and OpenSearch, NoSQL databases such as Apache Cassandra, and distributed caches like Valkey.
• Demonstrated ability to take products from concept to launch, including vision setting, roadmap ownership, and execution.
• Working knowledge of modern data and AI stacks, and cloud-based data platforms.

Responsibilities

• Define and own the product vision and roadmap NoSQL databases and streaming data systems built within the Apple Cloud.
• Translate foundational data and AI infrastructure into clear product abstractions (APIs, workflows, templates, services).
• Lead the development of applied AI and GenAI features, including intelligent assistants, reasoning workflows, automation, and decision support for database use cases.
• Partner with engineering teams to align product requirements with platform architecture, scalability, reliability, privacy, and security constraints.
• Work closely with internal customer teams to understand real-world application needs and co-develop solutions.
• Communicate complex technical tradeoffs clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Drive prioritization across competing demands from multiple products and organizations while maintaining platform consistency.
• Measure success through adoption, developer productivity, reliability, and customer impact.
