About the Team

Roku’s Viewer Product team owns the ever‑evolving end‑to‑end experience for the hundreds of millions of people who hit OK on their Roku remote every day. We design, build, and optimize everything they see—from the Roku OS home screen, Live TV Guide, and Sports Zone to the Roku Channel app on and off‑platform—and power it all with our Consumer‑AI personalization engine, which is also used for these experiences, as well as the billions of searches performed. Our global, cross‑functional squad of product managers, designers, data scientists, and engineers spans San Jose, New York, Santa Monica, Austin, Boston, the UK, Mexico, and India. Our mission is to connect 400 million viewers worldwide to their favorite entertainment through a uniquely Roku experience that is simple and delightful.

About the Role

You will partner closely with engineering, UX, content, and advertising stakeholders to translate bold creative concepts into shippable products with reusable platform capabilities. This role requires strong technical intuition to assess the feasibility, complexity, and scalability of new builds, as well as experience with non‑subscription monetization models such as advertising and partnerships.

You will operate with executive‑level visibility and have the opportunity to shape the future of interactive entertainment on one of the world’s largest streaming platforms. The ideal candidate thrives in ambiguous, zero‑to‑one environments and brings a builder mentality, creative thinking, and a passion for innovation at scale.

For California Only - The estimated annual base salary for this position is between $220,000 - $250,000 annually. Compensation packages are based on factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, certifications, and specific geographical location. This role is eligible for health insurance, equity awards, life insurance, disability benefits, parental leave, wellness benefits, and paid time off.

  • Translate creative concepts and business opportunities into clear product requirements, user stories, and prioritized backlogs
  • Collaborate with engineering leads to evaluate technical feasibility, complexity, and timelines for new feature builds

  • Work cross‑functionally with UX designers, engineers, and content producers across San Jose and Santa Monica to deliver cohesive product experiences
  • Build reusable product frameworks and toolkits that other Roku teams can leverage for future interactive initiatives
  • Drive product development from ideation through launch, iterating based on data, user feedback, and business performance
  • Present product strategy, progress, and results to executive leadership with clarity and confidence
  • Stay current on emerging trends in interactive media, gaming, generative AI, and cross‑platform storytelling to inform the product vision
  • Champion a culture of experimentation and rapid prototyping within the team
