Job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Product Manager, AI Workflow Design based in the United States.

Join an innovative product team focused on transforming complex business processes into intelligent, AI-powered workflows. In this role, you will design and structure workflows that enable AI agents to perform meaningful tasks while ensuring effective collaboration between automation and human decision-making. Working closely with product, design, engineering, data science, and commercial teams, you will identify high-value opportunities and translate business needs into actionable technical requirements. You will help define how AI agents make decisions, use tools, and hand off tasks to people when human oversight is needed. Through user feedback, performance evaluation, and continuous improvement, you will contribute to building reliable, intuitive, and scalable AI capabilities. This fully remote opportunity is ideal for a product professional passionate about AI innovation, workflow optimization, and delivering measurable business value.

Accountabilities
  • AI Workflow Design: Define current-state and future-state workflows for priority AI agent use cases in collaboration with product teams, ensuring business processes are translated into clear, actionable designs.
  • Use Case Discovery: Facilitate discovery sessions with product, design, engineering, data science, and commercial stakeholders to identify high-impact opportunities for AI-driven automation and workflow optimization.
  • Requirements Engineering: Translate business objectives and user needs into detailed workflow specifications, functional requirements, and acceptance criteria that engineering teams can use to develop AI agent capabilities.
  • Human-AI Collaboration: Identify process gaps, dependencies, decision points, and handoffs, determining when AI agents can operate autonomously and when human intervention, review, or approval is required.
  • Workflow Standards and Documentation: Develop reusable workflow frameworks, documentation, and design standards that promote consistency and enable adoption across multiple product areas.
  • User Experience and Usability: Partner with UX teams to design intuitive, transparent, and trustworthy agent workflows, ensuring seamless interactions between users, AI agents, tools, and systems.
  • Product Development Support: Collaborate with engineering teams throughout the development lifecycle, clarifying requirements, resolving ambiguities, and ensuring delivered solutions align with intended business outcomes.
  • Testing and Continuous Improvement: Validate workflow designs using user feedback, evaluation results, and performance metrics, working with evaluation specialists to identify opportunities for refinement.
  • Scalability and Alignment: Promote consistent workflow practices as AI capabilities expand across product areas, encouraging cross-functional collaboration, continuous learning, and ongoing process improvement.
Requirements
  • Professional Experience: 5–7+ years of experience in product operations, business analysis, process design, product management, or a related discipline.
  • Workflow Design Expertise: Demonstrated ability to analyze complex business processes, map workflows, identify dependencies and decision points, and translate findings into clear, implementation-ready requirements.
  • Product Development Knowledge: Familiarity with agile product management methodologies, software development lifecycles, and cross-functional product delivery practices.
  • AI and Agentic Workflow Concepts: Understanding of AI agents and agent-based workflows, including task decomposition, tool utilization, human-in-the-loop checkpoints, decision-making processes, and workflow handoffs.
  • Requirements and Documentation: Strong skills in requirements gathering, workflow documentation, acceptance criteria development, and translating complex business needs into structured technical specifications.
  • Facilitation and Stakeholder Management: Excellent communication and workshop facilitation skills, with the ability to build alignment across technical and business teams and manage differing stakeholder perspectives.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify inefficiencies, assess workflow performance, evaluate potential solutions, and recommend practical improvements grounded in user needs and business objectives.
  • Preferred Industry Experience: Familiarity with analytics, enterprise software, data products, or technology-driven business environments is an advantage.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Professional Attributes: Curiosity, accountability, adaptability, and a continuous-improvement mindset, combined with a commitment to client value, inclusive collaboration, clear communication, and delivering measurable outcomes.
Benefits
