Job description

Washington, District of Columbia, United States

Grassroots Analytics (“GA”) is a political tech company dedicated to breaking down barriers in fundraising for progressive campaigns and causes. To facilitate that work, GA maintains a detailed database on more than 20 million active, left‑leaning American donors, including data on net worth, ideological preferences, political donation history, non‑profit donation history, demographics, and contact information. Our overall mission is to use that data to amplify forward‑thinking voices, causes, and people.

Job Description

Grassroots Analytics is seeking a Senior Product Manager to join our team of experts and provide top‑tier, individualized fundraising guidance directly to our clients. The Senior Product Manager will collaborate closely with engineering to translate customer and market insight into SaaS products that help campaigns and nonprofit organizations run more effective fundraising operations.

This role is ideal for someone passionate about SaaS product strategy and data‑driven decision‑making, who thrives in a fast‑paced, client‑focused environment, and who’s excited to help develop the next generation of product talent.

Responsibilities
  • Partner with the Director of Product & Research to align domain strategy with company‑wide product goals. Define and lead product vision, strategy, and roadmap for an assigned product domain, translating market research and customer insight into compelling business cases and clear priorities.
  • Identify new opportunities within the SaaS and DaaS landscape and build the business case for investment.
  • Collaborate with internal partners to drive end‑to‑end execution including GTM, Marketing, Data Science, etc.
Cross‑Functional Team Leadership (35%)
  • Lead a cross‑functional product team including UX Design and Engineering through the full product development lifecycle, from ideation through launch and iteration.
  • Manage and prioritize the backlog of epics, user stories, and supporting documentation, ensuring the team operates with clarity and shared purpose.
  • Serve as the primary point of accountability for on‑time, high‑quality hand‑off of roadmap requirements.
  • Collaborate with UX to conduct customer interviews and synthesize qualitative and quantitative feedback to champion the voice of the customer throughout development.
  • Act as the primary liaison for the product domain across engineering, design, marketing, sales, and customer success.
  • Define and monitor key product metrics, using data to evaluate feature success and inform iteration.
  • Mentor and coach junior‑to‑mid‑level Product Managers and other junior product team members.
  • Contribute to product team best practices, hiring, and onboarding.
  • Model the Grassroots Approach in all internal and external interactions.
The Grassroots Approach

At Grassroots Analytics, our work is guided by the following principles:

  • Customer service is our core: Clients are always, without exception, treated with the highest level of professionalism and respect.
  • We model a high bar for performance: We operate with the best interests of both the organization and every client in mind.
  • We strengthen relationships at every level: Our “people first” approach builds trust with team members and clients alike.
  • Proactivity drives problem‑solving: We look at the big picture to develop solutions, anticipate challenges, and prevent future setbacks.
  • Flexibility is essential: We adapt quickly as events change, take advantage of unexpected opportunities, and act decisively when needed.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate for the Senior Product Manager position will:

  • Have 5+ years of experience as a Product Manager in a B2B SaaS environment, including experience owning a product domain end‑to‑end.
  • Have a demonstrated track record of defining and launching multiple successful products or features that drove measurable business impact.
  • Demonstrate strong systems thinking. Have exceptional analytical and problem‑solving skills, with a data‑driven approach to decision‑making, including experience with user research, A/B testing, and product metrics.
  • Have experience leading or closely partnering with cross‑functional teams of UX/Design and Engineering talent.
  • Have superior communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, with a proven ability to build consensus across diverse teams.
  • Proficiency in agile development methodologies and a thorough understanding of the software development lifecycle.
  • Experience or a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, Design, Communications, or a related field preferred.
  • Preferred: Have experience in political, advocacy, nonprofit, or campaign‑related technology.
Compensation

The expected salary range for this position is $135,000 - $165,000. This role also includes a competitive benefits package. This is a full‑time, in‑office position based in our Chinatown office at 806 7th St NW, Washington, DC 20001.
