Job description

This highly cross-functional role serves as a central hub for synthesizing market, customer, clinical, operational, financial, technology, regulatory, and competitive inputs into a clear, actionable product roadmap that guides organizational priorities and execution. The Product Management team is accountable for defining customer-centric portfolio direction, establishing data-driven prioritization and investment recommendations, monitoring product performance, and driving alignment with Sales, Market Access, R&D, Operations, Technology, Medical Affairs, Finance, Legal, and Executive Leadership. The Sr. Product Manager will ensure the portfolio is strategically differentiated, financially sustainable, operationally feasible, easy to sell internally, and easy for customers to understand externally.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Product Roadmap Strategy & Governance: Maintain a clear, well-structured product roadmap that serves as the single source of truth for rare disease product direction, execution priorities, and cross-functional alignment.
  • Market & Customer Insight: Incorporate structured external inputs from customers, providers, commercial teams, competition, market access, technology trends, clinical landscape, and regulatory environment to identify market opportunities, unmet needs, and portfolio gaps. Synthesize these insights into the product roadmap.
  • Cross-Functional Alignment: Partner closely with Sales, Market Access, R&D, Operations, Technology, Medical Affairs, Finance, Legal, Quality, and Client Services, to align roadmap priorities, execution requirements, resourcing, and stakeholder expectations.
  • Prioritization & Business Case Development: Develop data-supported business cases and ROI justification including strategic fit, business impact, feasibility, revenue, profitability, market share, competitive advantage, technical complexity, operational readiness, regulatory considerations, and resource requirements.
  • Product Definition: Own Market Requirements Documents (MRDs), define target segments, value propositions, use cases, product features, workflows, user experience requirements, pricing inputs, and clinical, financial, adoption, operational, and quality success metrics.
  • Product Performance Management: Monitor performance of on-market products, including volume, revenue, ASP, profitability, adoption, operational performance, quality indicators, and sustainability; proactively identify risks, trends and underperformance and drive corrective action plans with clear owners, timelines, and measurable progress tracking.
  • Product Improvements & Lifecycle Management: Manage enhancements, iterations, releases, and lifecycle improvements for existing products; drive continuous improvement based on customer feedback, product performance, market changes, operational needs, reimbursement dynamics, and post-launch results.
  • Commercialization Support: Support go-to-market readiness by partnering with Sales, Marketing, Client Services, Medical Affairs, Laboratory Operations, Clinical Operations, and other stakeholders on launch planning, training, materials, workflows, messaging, sales enablement, and commercial execution.
