Responsibilities

• Own product direction, prioritization, and execution for CHAOS’s tactical C2 software and integration platform.

• Partner with engineers on tradeoffs involving interfaces, data flows, latency, and deployment constraints.

Role Overview

As a Senior Product Manager, you’ll own two closely related product areas: our tactical command-and-control (C2) software and the integration platform that connects CHAOS systems to the broader operational ecosystem, including our kinetic effector efforts.

The integration platform is broader than the C2 application: it enables external sensors and data sources to integrate with CHAOSsystems and allows external C2 systems to control or coordinate CHAOS capabilities, as well as handling effector engagements. Success means building intuitive operator software while making CHAOS systems easy to integrate into larger, heterogeneous mission architectures.

Responsibilities

• Own product direction, prioritization, and execution for CHAOS’s tactical C2 software and integration platform.
• Translate operator workflows, mission needs, and interoperability requirements into clear product decisions and engineeringpriorities.
• Determine where capabilities should live across CHAOS C2, shared platform services, external sensors, and higher-level C2systems, and help define the interfaces between them.
• Partner deeply with software, systems, hardware, and integration engineers on tradeoffs involving interfaces, data flows,latency, failure modes, networking, and deployment constraints.
• Balance urgent program-specific integrations with reusable platform capabilities that reduce one-off work over time.
• Build durable relationships across engineering, programs, operations, and business teams and become a trusted source ofproduct and mission context.
• You thrive in technically complex, ambiguous environments and can independently drive a product from problem definitionthrough delivery.
• You are comfortable working with engineers at depth without needing to be the technical decision-maker.
• You think in systems: users, hardware, software, interfaces, dependencies, failure modes, and operational constraints allmatter.
• You quickly become conversant in unfamiliar domains, earn credibility with technical and operational stakeholders, and knowwhen to pull in deeper expertise.
• You can separate critical product decisions from noise and make sound tradeoffs under time and information constraints.
• 7+ years of relevant experience, including substantial ownership of complex software products; roughly 5+ years in productmanagement or an equivalent product ownership role.
• Experience with software that interacts with hardware, sensors, networks, external systems, or real-world operations. Comfortwith core systems-engineering practices—requirements definition and traceability, interface definition, and trade-off analysis—applied in service of product decisions
• Strong written and verbal communication, product judgment, and ability to drive alignment without relying on formal authority.
• Work full-time onsite with the CHAOS software team in San Francisco.
• Regular travel may be required for product testing, customer demonstrations, integrations, and cross-functional collaboration.

Preferred Requirements

• Experience in C2, battle management, mission systems, air defense, radar/sensors, autonomy, aerospace, tactical networks,systems integration, or related operational software is strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with interoperability standards used in mission systems (e.g., Link 16, TAK/Cursor-on-Target) is a plus
• Military operational experience—especially in air defense or adjacent missions—paired with demonstrated software/productaptitude is also highly valued.

The stated compensation range reflects only the targeted base compensation range and excludes additional earnings such as bonus, equity, and benefits.
