Job summary

Shield AI in San Diego is seeking an experienced Senior Product Manager to lead the office of the CTO's agentic AI portfolio, including Brain, Springboard, and enterprise AI platforms. You will define strategy, roadmaps, and success metrics across cutting-edge autonomy technologies.

You'll collaborate with engineering, operations, and executives to translate CTO vision into crisp requirements, prioritize backlogs, and drive adoption of internal tools while navigating a fast-paced, high-ambiguity

Qualifications

• 8+ years in product management for deeply technical products.
• Technical fluency: read code, use APIs/CLIs, prototype with AI tools.
• Shipped developer tools or AI/ML products and drove adoption.
• Experience with LLM-based systems: agents, evaluation, context management.
• Metrics-driven: define KPIs, instrument products, report against objectives.
• Excellent written communication: requirements, strategy docs, briefs.
• Proven stakeholder management up to executive level.
• Ability to operate in ambiguity and drive technical efforts.
• Willing to travel to Shield AI location 1-3 times per quarter.

Responsibilities

• Own product definition, roadmap, and metrics across the office of the CTO's agentic AI portfolio.
• Translate CTO strategy into crisp requirements, milestones, exit criteria, and KPIs.
• Drive adoption of internal platforms: reduce onboarding friction, instrument usage, track NPS and active users.
• Shape product direction for foundation-model based autonomy architectures and model lifecycle tooling.
• Run continuous discovery with engineers, operators, and executive stakeholders; turn findings into prioritized backlogs.
• Prioritize ruthlessly across competing initiatives with small teams and aggressive timelines.
• Analyze the agentic tooling, enterprise AI platform, and foundation model ecosystem; recommend build/buy/partner positions to leadership.
• Author strategy documents, product briefs, and executive updates that drive decisions.
• Manage transitions of maturing products from incubation to owning organizations.
