Job summary

Acumed LLC is seeking a Staff Product Engineer for Tray & Packaging to design and test sterile and non-sterile packaging that protects products through transport and surgery. You will lead technical activities from concept to implementation, mentor engineers, manage external vendors, and collaborate with hospital staff and executives.

Location is Hillsboro, OR or Addison, TX, with a focus on innovative packaging solutions and continuous improvement across the product lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Bio-Mechanical Engineering with 8+ years medical device packaging experience.
• Experience leading complex projects and mentoring engineers.
• Proficient in medical device packaging design and sterile packaging testing.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration with HCPs, executives and teams.

Responsibilities

• Leads engineering scope and deliverables for large or complex packaging projects.
• Mentors engineers and staff across projects and technical areas.
• Manages external vendors and partners with Manufacturing on new technologies.
• Works with hospital staff, consultants, and field reps to understand unmet needs.
